Content Dependent Streaming (CDS) is Facebook’s new way of streaming 360 videos. As a combination of AI and VR, CDS allows us to dynamically allocate resources to different parts of a video through 360 scene understanding. This talk will focus on the design of CDS and why it is a better streaming standard compared to its predecessor, dynamic streaming.
