Today’s business environments demand speed and agility- the fundamental drivers of the microservices paradigm, and hence the resulting modern software architecture. A low code or no code approach to designing and implementing services can provide the edge needed to achieve that speed and agility – while heavily cutting down on the time and costs involved in the iterative software development process. The low/no code approach when implemented right – at various levels – API, business logic, integration of enterprise data – can help achieve efficiencies otherwise not imaginable through the traditional software development approaches. Call it disruptive, or innovative- this approach is here to change the way businesses and developers are used to looking at software services. In this session, we will discuss the drivers for microservices, common implementation patterns, and blind spots to watch for. Having talked about that, we would also introduce a novel low code approach for ideation to implementation of microservices using CA Technologies' Live API Creator. CA Live API Creator development platform provides intuitive interfaces (CLI/API/GUI), point and click resource definition, declarative logic to configure business rules, built-in developer tools, and interactive data integration/exploration capabilities – making it a more than complete bundle of functionality to build deployment-ready microservices with little-to-no-code and high-to-super-high ease of maintenance.
