Almost every engineering manager becomes a manager after being an engineer in the past. However, how do you transition from an individual contributor role into a management position. Is the management position for you? What are the responsibility differences and what qualities will help you succeed in the new role. I will talk about some of my past experiences and my take on this issue looking into different things such as time management.
